So I finally got a chance to paint it up properly. I still have to tweak some areas and then I get to start on my favorite part, weathering :)

I used Micro Mask. It was my first time trying it out. It worked pretty good, but I have to get better at putting it on

I was pretty happy with how the skirt turned out

I was not quite as happy with the hull. I was too impatient and didn't quite get the colors or chipping effects I was looking for, but it taught me a lot that I will keep in mind when I do the Fine Molds Slave-1

Hopefully I'll get a chance to finish it tonight
If you have a tool and aren't aware of what it can do, its dangerous. A jedi can do amazing things with a lightsaber. A roomful of chimps with lightsabers... would get messy.

So I'm pretty much done Slave-1 now. I feel better about it after adding some washes, pastels and paint in certain areas. Now on to the platform next

It was such a pain to get pictures with most of it fully in focus

Oh yeah. Same.
Need to build 30 models per year until I'm 90 to clean out the stash. Time to get cracking!
