1/72 T-16 Skyhopper FINISHED

Postby Uwe Kaeding » September 2nd, 2018, 6:57 am

Finally got around to taking some finished photos of this one - tried twice to take photos against a black background with no success and eventually got some decent ones against white. Any way here they are:

The kit is the old Fantastic Plastic resin kit, modified with a hollowed-out and scratch-built cockpit. The WIP post is at:http://www.keeperoftheforce.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2287. Thanks for looking.

Fantastic build as always. Love what you did with the cockpit. ;)

Looks great! So how do you know what the interior is supposed to look like? Is it speculating or is there some sort of quasi-official source for it? I've seen a few pictures where it looks like there's only one guy in the cockpit, with the middle fin annoyingly right in the center of your vision. At the same time I thought the two man configuration needed some sort of window between the two so they can talk to each other.

Thanks dano, RM - I based it mainly on some builds I found on line (not sure if it is the original miniature or a studio scale replica) which shows 2 separated cockpits, and a cross-section drawing (although in that it doesn't look like Luke has much room...):

That looks amazing!
If you have a tool and aren't aware of what it can do, its dangerous. A jedi can do amazing things with a lightsaber. A roomful of chimps with lightsabers... would get messy.

That's funny! That cross section drawing looks to me like Luke's in the middle able to look out either window. Hmm... Either way, awesome build!

Thanks Blake

RM - yeah its hard to see in that pic, I saw it as Luke being squeezed into one side - probably need a higher res version!
