Nice I've never seen these types of ships before, where are they from?

Thanks - the modelss are conversions using the FM Interceptor and Scale Solutions droid fighter as the bases and Multi-verse Models conversion kits. The ships come from one of the EU X-Wing books and are apparently built for one of the Empire remnant factions after ROTJ (Wookiepedia link here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TIE_Raptor)

Uwe - those look great! Love the droid mod.

Can of worms - what gray did you use?
Need to build 30 models per year until I'm 90 to clean out the stash. Time to get cracking!

Those look nice Uwe! I think I honestly like the predatory look of the Droid Raptor the best. I need to get another Scale Solutions kit now.

Thanks everybody.

I'm almost embarassed to say I don't use haze grey. The first TIE I built was the FM kit and I used their colour recommendation (Gunze Hobby Color H338 - Light Grey FS 36495). Because I want all of my TIEs to tie together  that's what I use - it looks good in photos but might look a bit light in real life. Anyway, I've got 13 TIEs done now, and another almost finished so I'm not going to repaint them all and I'll stick with that colour.

I think it's just a matter of whether you want a studio look, or an "on-screen" look. I like them both ways, but will continue painting my manned TIEs with Haze Grey and I'll make my Droids a lighter normal grey, like maybe XF-20 or XF-80.
