Bandai 1:350 Millennium Falcon Vehicle Model

Without a doubt the smallest model I've done. I did everything I could to cram as much detail from the 5ft studio model onto this tiny model. https://i.imgur.com/EIHYjr8.jpg https://i.imgur.com/hEv5fbe.jpg https://i.imgur.com/FRxI2CM.jpg https://i.imgur.com/hzs5prU.jpg https://i.imgur.com/iuKnFip.jp...

Bandai U-Wing & Tie Striker 1/144

Started working on the U-wing/Tie Striker kit. TIE Striker is done. Gonna do the Imperial Tanks over the weekend and start on the U-wing next week. This thing is TINY, but packed with detail. http://i.imgur.com/EjrcOky.jpg http://i.imgur.com/OmLPAES.jpg http://i.imgur.com/5EdvWtu.jpg http://i.imgur....

Re: Bandai Millennium Falcon Vehicle 006 - Daniel B

First pass of weathering complete. I gotta build this up in SUBTLE layers. Something this small is really easy to go too far. This shows also why I always spray a neutral gray as the basecoat on Falcon builds. The weathering always "warms" up the surface by making it tan-ish. http://i.imgur.com/O9Du...

Re: Bandai Millennium Falcon Vehicle 006 - Daniel B

Well, I wasn't 100% happy with the first paint job on closer inspection, so I started over. Usually I spray lacquer paints, but I figured I'd use the redo as a test bed for doing the entire model full acrylics, primer, basecoat, panels, and weathering. We'll see how it goes. So to start off, I strip...

Well, I started painting the 1:350 Falcon tonight. Being such small scale, your paint coats have to be flawless. First, I wanted to start with a black primer, for reasons I'll mention here soon. I sprayed Mr Surfacer 1500 thinned 1.5 : 1 thinner/primer with Mr. Leveling Thinner. This sprayed absolut...

Re: ZVEZDA STAR DESTROYER conversions

How are you dealing with the back engine area after doubling the size of the sidewalls?

Re: Kylo Ren's Shuttle: an overhaul

That's looking awesome! If you are still having trouble with a dusty finish, it sounds like your coats aren't wet enough, or you're holding the airbrush too far back. Watch how Paul paints his tank. Each stroke has a 50% overlap as he moves around. You want your coat wet, but not running. https://yo...

All oil washes so far. For some other things, like paint chipping, I will use Vallejo paints and a very fine tip brush.

As someone mentioned in the thread on one of the other boards, any luck with Revell Customer Service for a replacement part?
Actually by some miracle I found the other pilot. So it's all good. Heh.
