Re: Best kits for greeblies

I recommend and of the Dragon Smart kits or Premium kits. Dragon notoriously over-engineers kits, and they include tones of unused parts. So, you get A LOT of greeblies and fodder for kit-bashes. Older kits have individual tracks links which are great. Newer kits have vinyl tracks, but these are gre...

Re: Jedha Statue "Imperial Escalation"

Thanks man. Yeah, I had thought of adding some tank treads. But the ones Bandai gave us are the hovering variety. So, they're "hovering a few mm off the surface (like the ones in Rebels). There is some dust there, but I probably could have done more. So much of it disappeared as usual when I added a...

Re: Jedha Statue "Imperial Escalation"

I've been wondering what to do with those tanks and this is a great idea (but now it's been done so I have to think of something else). Mine are just sitting on the shelf as cat bait. Great work on a nice original idea! Thank you. Yeah, I was sorely disappointed they were so small. But dude, you ou...

i cant understand why bandai not make this in 1:72 as singel or 2 tank packs and an 1:72 u-wing
Agreed. I really wanted a larger tank, maybe 1/48 to match the AT-ST and a larger U-wing.

Jedha Statue "Imperial Escalation"

Well, it's been awhile. But recently, I got back into things and decided to do a diorama that was floating around in my head of the fallen statue on Jedha. I used the Bandai Occupier Assault Tanks in 1/144 scale, and I molded my hand in Play-Doh for the statue. https://i0.wp.com/www.rebelscale.com/w...

Re: Bandai 1/48 AT-ST

Nice work. The base really sets it off. I had a little cracking too from using enamels. THe issues is that the joints are so tight, the enamel degassing (as it dries) pushes the against the plastic making it crack. With other kits, I've usually used a little Tamiya Extra thin on all joints, and on m...
