"Buzzing the Tower" - Bandai Turbolaser and B-wing

Finished this dio last night. It's a mix of the Bandai Turbolaser and Death Star tile from the A-wing set and a B-wing from the Fantasy Flight Games line. Most of this was focusing on the painting (and not stressing), and I didn't do much building at all. Thanks for looking! http://www.rebelscale.co...

Why the massive lifting power for such a relatively small payliad?
I think it's to protect them from blaster fire, since they can magnify energy. And if a container is ruptured, just jettison it.

I really like the forward-facing wings/fins on the Eta. It looks pretty neat, but it's at least 5 times the size of the Zeta (assuming they share cargo pods).

Re: 1/72 Zeta-class

What you need is an Eta-class...the even bigger cargo carrier. Imagine that thing loaded down with TIE's.

By the way, great work so far, Nick. I really kinda want one in 72nd...but I guess I'll have to make due with a 1/144.

Re: TIE Striker & TIE Interceptor (Bandai 1/72)

Any clue what those secondary cannons do? Just heavy lasers for ripping though X-wings. And that's the reason I don't like working with oils! Takes too long to dry - I haven't got the patience for it. Other people can get better finishes - I want my paint dry, and I want it now! :D They definitely ...
