It's in box scale.

If you want to do some math, a "real" Imperial-class Star Destroyer is 1600 meters long and this model kit is about 4-9/16" long.

Re: Poe's Black X-Wing

Just another example of the lazy/uninspired design work done for this movie. There's no real individuality like with a new hope X-wings. To be fair, none of that individuality is noticeable on screen in the original cut of Star Wars (or even in the Special Editions). The average viewer couldn't tel...

Re: Another Bandai 1:72 First Order TIE Fighter

Also did some light chipping on the wings, as was done on another recent build. (I didn't copy you! I was planning on doing it before I saw yours!) If you're talking about the one I did over in the Third Group Build subforum, no worries! I think it turned out great and the Gunmetal is an awesome co...

Thanks! They're a little out of scale, but rule of cool prevails!

Re: Bandai First Order TIE fighter

Brilliant start as usual. Sometimes I think I should just take a year off and MODEL EVERY DAMN DAY. I have 600 kits in the stash and if I could sell built ones on an average of $100 a pop I'd be fine for the year. At the rate you're cranking these out you could probably do the same :P Thanks! Don't...

Aside from the reversed color pale...

Re: Bandai's BB-8 (1/12 scale) [Done!]

My first model kit of 2016 is done! It was a nice way to jump-start the modeling juices after I spend most of December horribly burnt out. The only weathering I did was to give him a gunk wash of 502 Abteilung Starship Filth; this was done on top a satin coat of Future. I opted to keep that finish b...
