Any painting tips for the Bandai Jedi Starfighter?
Or better yet, any replacement decals?

He keeps popping up with cool stuff. Does he have a website or is it strictly old boy network?

I masked and painted all the red areas on my 1/72 Fine Molds one. I covered the the Fine Molds decal sheet in plastic and then would put the masking tape over it and trace the shapes, then peel of the masking tape, cut it, and put it on the model.

It was a royal pain, but compared to how hard/frustrating putting on the decals would have been, I think it was actually easier in a way. (I've always had bad luck with large/complex shaped decals)

Although on something this small, it might be better to go the decal route
If you have a tool and aren't aware of what it can do, its dangerous. A jedi can do amazing things with a lightsaber. A roomful of chimps with lightsabers... would get messy.
