Most of my Sci Fi models are either displayed " on the ground " or, sitting on a single 1/8" steel rod, mounted vertically in a finished wood base. like Strafleet Battleship USS Kodiac NCC6000, shown here. The model is 25" long

I have also used the same steel rod, mounted in the end of a length of 1/2" dowel, on a tripod base, which is then "cloned out" to show the model " Station keeping on Thrusters ", with USS Farragut NCC1702, and a Jenghiz class my living room :?: :o :D :D
