Anyone have one in their stash they'd be willing to part with? I realize it's a long shot, but it couldn't hurt to ask...

I do not have a Fine Molds one, but knowing your preference for 1/48 size kits, you might consider the AMT/ERTL one. It is 1/48. There is a diecast version and a regular kit version I believe, but both are fairly cheap
If you have a tool and aren't aware of what it can do, its dangerous. A jedi can do amazing things with a lightsaber. A roomful of chimps with lightsabers... would get messy.

Just saw this. Yes, I have a few of those old ERTL kits. I'm hoping to do one up real nice one day. The Die-cast one was weird because none of the parts fit correctly, and the little metal studs to fill the holes for the screws kept coming out.

Still looking for the FM one at a reasonable price, though.

I don't have one, but I think my local hobby shop still has one on the shelf. I can look and see for you. It's in Canada, so there's probably hurdles to jump through to get it to you, but...
