Thanks Nick, it was a shame to put it there but it's on the bottom and blends in ok. And when it's displayed hopefully you won't see it ;)

John - looks great, man!

You're going to need to pick up the pace, though...Nick is moving pretty fast with his.
Need to build 30 models per year until I'm 90 to clean out the stash. Time to get cracking!

  When I woke up in the morning with my fingers glued to the model, I finally gave up building, all night long :o :o ;) :D :D
For those who can still get away with it, "May the force be with you"

For those within a reasonable driving distance from the Public Museum of Kenosha, Wi., I'll have my HO scale "Modules" set up with the Lake County Society of Modular Engineers,10:00 AM / 5:00 PM, Saturday 5/31, and Sunday 6/1. I have to be gone on Saturday for a grandson's Birthday, but, will be there all day Sunday. Got a 1/72 scale model you'd like to pose in a "scale" environment ? 1/72 isn't that far off from 1/87, especially where things like AT AT's, or X wings, etc. are concerned ;) ;) There's approximately 7.5 scale acres of water on the modules, occupied by a number of sailing craft, so there should be room for something to "hover over", and there might be some space large enough in the "woods" for something to lurk in ( bring your own camera ). ;) :D

Ok done. First up was some 'Space' Colour Modulation using AK paints from their Panzer Grey set:

The most boring part of the build lol:

I then made a base from expanding foam and painted it in suitable colours for whatever satori of field it's flying through!:
Image
This is all the colours I've used for the base coat (not highlights):

Details were picked out and highlighted by hand:

The weathering was kept to a minimum but some washes were used to bring out the details:

And done!:

I'll put some more final pics up on the finished thread tomorrow or Saturday. But I just want to say thanks for organising this comp and let's hope KOTF keeps growing for next year!
