Looks great. Cool design
If you have a tool and aren't aware of what it can do, its dangerous. A jedi can do amazing things with a lightsaber. A roomful of chimps with lightsabers... would get messy.

I gotta be honest, I hate the design of that ship.

HOWEVER, I love what you are doing with it. The detail is awesome...and I can't wait to see the paint job.

Finally have some time to work on this today. Pilot is done!! I wanted to do a large race to fit the oversized cockpit. So, I made a wookie bounty hunter using the chewbacca from the Cantina set.

More pics today as I work on it!

Thanks!

Pilot in the cockpit. I needed to finish the cockpit and glue on the Vacu-form Canopy before proceeding with the base coat. The ship is primed and shaded.

I don't exactly have a lot of experience on fighter type craft yet, but I've been completing the exterior first, then taping off the area surrounding the cockpit and finish it last. That way, I don't accidently break or dislodge the canopy while positioning for painting. Is there a reason that might be better to do the cockpit first, or just the way things worked out?

The sort of fluid design of how the vacuform canopy marries to the fuselage makes me have to glue to canopy on and use some aves to fill some gaps, and smooth it out... It came with three canopies but they all seem a little off. This was the only way I can see of getting it to look right. In the past I complete the cockpits in the way you did.

Hahaha...for whatever reason, Del, I have issues loading pics that Dano posts (Canadian firewall?). That one didn't show up when I read through here before. See it Now, though! :P
