Getting back to working on this one - did a bit of cleaning up of the modified port fuselage panel (also made o mould of it so I didn't have to do the same again for the interceptor version). It is permanently in place now:

Next step is to modify the windshield part with bits from the conversion set.

Thanks dk. Finally got back to this one and made a new canopy. This one fits better than the conversion kit part, which is not glazed and has different proportions to the standard kit part.

Therefore I cut up one of the conversion kit parts (right) and used parts of it to modify a kit part (left). The new canopy was then used as a master to mould new ones in clear resin. Here it is cleaned up and glued in place:

A bit more work done - the hull extensions supplied with the upgrade kit had flat inside surfaces (outside pair) and needed to be trimmed to fit the kit's contours:

The extensions have now been glued in place - I also had to notch the top right unit to fit the aerial mount. The extensions still need some filling on the joins to the hull:

Hmmm.... I didn't realize how different the details were on the whisper. I just figured it had wings like the Silencer added to a "standard" new TIE, and different red markings. Looking now, I see there's much more to it! Cool.
Even a quick Google search and I can see the wings are different too.

Looking good!

Thanks RM - yes, there are a lot of small changes, which makes it fun! Anyway, in parallel with this build I've been doing the interceptor version as well and I've now got around to posting that build as well: https://www.keeperoftheforce.com/viewto ... f=6&t=2563
