Current build of a Bandai 1/72 RZ-1 A Wing Starfighter. Pretty much straight out of the box except for Green Strawberry photoetch kit and lighting. The fun part about lighig a Bandai kit is that their joints are so complicated that there is almost no room unless you hog out some plastic. Snaking the wire through is like navigating a maze.

Painted and ready to assemble to fuselage. Photoetch engine details.
Red is Insignia Red with Flat Black (75/25)

More painting. Same white and red as before.

The best part was while putting the fuselage halves together, the soldered connection on the cockpit LED broke - after everything had been cemented together. I ended up splitting the halves and then cutting a window under the cockpit dash and sliding another LED in there. I forgot to take pics because I wasn't in the best mood at the time.

Almost finished - more painting, decals, and weathering with a wash and paint chipping, etc.

Looking good! Colors seem spot on

Bandai sure does make it difficult for lighting. I've been struggling with that on some of the ships as part of my Space battleship 2199 builds

Bummer about the cockpit lighting
