CIS Hailfire Droid Tank

Post by Uwe Kaeding » October 8th, 2016, 10:48 am

Finally got around to finishing this one - started it back in July 2014(!) and got bored by the masking for the paint job, which was a bit of a pain. Anyway it is the .JPG kit basically as supplied - it just has tails added to the rockets, guns drilled out, the top rings on the missile packs hollowed out and one of the rockets cut out and the tube drilled through. Just for a change its painted in late Clone Wars CIS colors (based on photos of the Hasbro remote control toy).

Loving it! I really like the paint scheme too. What color blue is that?

Thanks a lot guys. I prefer the CIS blue shemes to the brown Trade Federation ones - much more interesting.

The blue is a Poly Scale railroad color - 41494 D&H Avon Blue which I picked up a while ago when I was looking for a bright intermediate blue. Seems to look about right for the CIS schemes.

Excellent!

Very cool alternate color scheme as well
If you have a tool and aren't aware of what it can do, its dangerous. A jedi can do amazing things with a lightsaber. A roomful of chimps with lightsabers... would get messy.
