Completed the weathering on the D-O that is part of the Bandai kit, combined with BB-8 and here are the finished photos.

Excellent!

When I first saw this kit I immediately assumed that it would become the new Jar-Jar as far as annoying, but after seeing the movie I must pick one up
If you have a tool and aren't aware of what it can do, its dangerous. A jedi can do amazing things with a lightsaber. A roomful of chimps with lightsabers... would get messy.

Thanks guys. Blake - yes thought the same, and also thought he was handled better in the movie that expected.

I don't want to spend that kind of money just to get D-0 when I don't want another BB-8! I might have to take your example and use the BB-8 to make a different droid. But I'm not really a big fan of the BB series...
My other choice is to scratch a D-0. He doesn't look that hard to scratch.
