1/144 Wobani Juggernaut

Post by SimonMars » April 10th, 2020, 11:15 pm

Hi all, I wonder if anyone has ever made one of these? I did like the Clone Juggernaut in ROTS, but much preferred what appeared to be a plainer version in Rogue One. Struggled to find any photos of it, so have been looking at the Doug Chiang concept art ( which also looks great, I think. As for modelling experience, I’ve only ever painted kits, though I did modify the AT-ACT last year so started to get the idea of how sheet styrene can be used. Anyway, I’ll attach a photo. Would love to know if anyone else has tried to make this, or if anyone has any Elevation/ profile photos of the Wobani vehicle. Even if no one has, it’s a great thing to work on, and I’ve enjoyed reading about everyone else’s work, so thought I should contribute by adding my enthusiasm for this hobby to this excellent website.

JPG sold a Juggernaut kit for awhile, I believe it was 1/350 scale. 1/144 looks HUGE!!!! At that scale, it could be R/C and used to deliver drinks or snacks from the kitchen. Looks like a great start.

Ha, thanks Del. As soon as you mentioned RC, I though of that old ‘Big Trak’ toy.

I have loads of 1/144 stuff, including your fab Sandcrawler. I’m just hopeful that when it’s finished, I manage to get it to look in proportion with the rest, so it’s not like a Duplo toy next to a load of LEGO models!

Thanks, Dark Kyp. I’ve never done Scratch building before so I had no idea it could be so enjoyable.
