1/144 Falcon - Lando's version

Post by PhilCiborowski » May 7th, 2020, 5:54 pm

I havent seen many of these built up, figured I would have to give mine a go. Straight from the box, preshade with German gray, insignia white over that. The blue is from the decals (waterslide). Once they were all on, I cleared with gloss, and did a brown wash before pastel weathering. I sanded the end of the pod's engine bells down in order to allow it to be attached to the Falcon without removing them The base was just glued together, putty applied and painted.

Excellent work! Colors and weathering looks prefect

I have one of these in the stash. This design has always been weird to me. Sometimes I like it, more often I am indifferent to it, but most times I hate the look it has with the extended front

It seems like you have the prefect solution there with being able to easily display it with or without the front pod part!
If you have a tool and aren't aware of what it can do, its dangerous. A jedi can do amazing things with a lightsaber. A roomful of chimps with lightsabers... would get messy.
